Where are the white pixels coming from in the top left corner of Googe Chrome?

Good day.
I have a workstation with Ubuntu 18.04.5 TLS and Google Chrome 85.0.4183.102
Installed all available updates for the current day.

The problem is that white flickering pixels are constantly visible in the upper left corner of Chrome when browsing sites.

Pixels appear either when scrolling the page or when opening links from it in neighboring tabs.
Similar behavior is found on Google and Yandex search pages.

The problem first appeared about 3-4 days ago after the next update.
I have no idea what it could be.

Tell me, please, what is it all about, where to look for, what to watch, etc. I don't even know where to start looking.

PS: the same behavior occurs when running Chrome with disabled plugins
PPS: no such problem in FireFox

The only way to get around the problem at the moment is to disable hardware acceleration.
Go to Settings => Accessibility => System => Use hardware acceleration when available , set the checkbox to off and restart the browser. The flickering of the logos disappears. The solution works for Google Chrome 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit). Radeon RX550 graphics card. Using mesa driver version 20.3~git2009261930.a3543a~oibaf~b
If for some reason, hardware acceleration is necessary for some applications - install Chrominum or any other browser based on it.

Looks like what I had recently.
With fonts after the update, this sometimes happened, it also flashed periodically:

Here is a discussion of my problem, but there is nothing useful there except for the advice "turn on hardware acceleration" (and it was already turned on).
I was helped by reinstalling/updating the drivers.
I don’t know which ones specifically - I just launched a bunch through DPS, probably something about a video card, I’m not an expert here at all :)
