Where are MongoDB databases stored on linux?

I can’t find a directory with mongi databases anywhere, it seems that I need to run it with --dbpath, but on debian I run it systemctl start mongod. Yet somewhere these databases are stored, but where?

Answer: in debian/ubuntu databases are stored in /var/lib/mongodb/
