Where are files transferred after deletion from sftp?

There is an sftp server on ubuntu 12.04, clients connect to it via WinSCP and work with balls.
Actually the question is: where are the files transferred after deletion from the client side?
Specialist deleted the file with the name "123qwe", and asked "find / -name 123qwe" in the terminal, and, of course, found nothing. If files are permanently deleted, is it possible to somehow implement something like a recycle bin, like in SAMBA?

By default, they are physically removed. But there are ways to screw a basket there.
