Everything turned out to be simpler than it seems, it turns out that safari-mobile somehow misunderstood the transition property, there is a change in the font size of the link between the points 768 and 576px and somehow the browser worked out these changes and, accordingly, it twitched in convulsions. Removing the transition fixed everything.
