When to switch to Spring?

I am learning Java Core, writing a simple console chat but I would like to implement it all on the web. When should I start learning Spring and other things related to the java backend? Do I still need to practice with Java core?

You need to practice with Core all the time, and the web is not only about spring. It will not be superfluous to get acquainted with Vaadin - a good and simple interface in the browser a la Swing, which will help you quickly transfer chat to the web using only java. It integrates well with spring.

This is not a sprint, this is a marathon) There is no clear Roadmap here.
The sooner you start learning Spring, the better. If something is not clear, you can always return to Core and see a couple of examples. For free, there are two books on Spring in Russian, which explain everything very well. Once you get to Spring MVC, you need a general understanding of servlets, at the level of a general idea, and why they are needed.
