When to change the HDD on the server?
Have a nice day, everyone!
On the server there are 2 HDD disks in physical RAID0. Drive model Seagate ST2000NC001-1DY1.
The server works 24/7, and on average 5000 files are written/deleted to disks per hour (mostly photos).
How do you know when it's time to replace discs? There are no errors in smart, but I don't want to wait for them.

First you need to set up backups and the procedure for restoring all this from a backup.
RAID0 from seagates is powerful.
backup you change
the disk
again you collect the raid you
restore the backup
you need to change it when the disk is dead or bad smarts
Only SMART, only data on the current state of the disk. The same model can live for a year or five years, you will never know in advance when a failure will occur.
Yes, and that's why use mirroring. RAID0 for fast non-critical data only
Change in the following cases =
1) The disk does not cope with the tasks for some parameters.
2) The disk is defective.
In general, as errors appear in SMART, change it, or when it stops coping with tasks.
According to statistics, discs are changed on average once every 5 years. But better look at SMART, of course. I don't have any information about SSDs. I’ll say for sure that without a BackUp system now there’s nowhere, always be prepared for the fact that the main storage can disappear and keep a spare somewhere far away, anything happens.
