When installing ubuntu 20.04, at the stage before choosing a language, everything freezes. What to do?

Hello. Please tell me how to install ubuntu on a windows 7 computer.

My steps are:

• downloaded the ubuntu-20.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso image from the official site;
  
• using the rufus-3.17 program, I mounted the image on a USB flash drive;
  
• in the bios set the boot from a USB flash drive;
  
• when loading, I chose ubuntu from the possible options;
  
• booting from a flash drive began by checking the disk for errors, as a result a message appeared that there were no errors;
  
• then a window appeared where you could select the language and click install, but the window was just white. The computer freezes without any signs of life. Neither mouse nor keyboard responded.
  

I tried to boot several times, jumped and overwrote the image to a USB flash drive. The result is the same - everything hangs in the same place.

Specifications of my computer:

• CPU i5-3470 @ 3.20 GHz 3.60 Hz;
  
• GeForce GTX 660 graphics card
  
• Windows 7, old, not updated;
  

For me, this is the first time I was going to get acquainted with Linux ... I did not expect such problems.
I really hope for your help in installing Ubuntu.

By the way, after that I booted into windows, and the time changed to 2 hours ago. Why is that?

This is Linux, it happens here.
Try to select Safemode or No ACPI when loading the flash drive, they are sometimes called differently, but you will immediately recognize them.
And I would use Unetbootin to create a bootable flash drive.

Honestly, I would test all this in virtualbox, and then roll it onto hardware.
