When creating image thumbnails with CFile::ResizeImageGet do they rotate 90 degrees?

Maybe someone came across? I am doing a project that provides for uploading photos taken by users from the phone.
To display in the lists, I make thumbnails of these images using the CFile::ResizeImageGet function with the BX_RESIZE_IMAGE_EXACT parameter (I set hard sizes). Thumbnails of portrait photos are rotated 90 degrees. And the original images (which Bitrix did not touch) are displayed correctly.

I understand that photos taken from mobile devices have embedded meta-data that determines the rotation of the photo based on the values ​​of gyroscopic sensors. But when Bitrix starts making thumbnails of such photos, for some reason, it does not take into account this meta-data.
Tell me how to be? Are there any regular bitrix tools to solve this problem?

UPD: I'm trying to change the resize method to BX_RESIZE_IMAGE_PROPORTIONAL_ALT - the problem persists.
