When changing the design of the site to joomla, will the site lose its position in the search? Same question with template?

Help comrades! Is it possible to change the design on a site with joomla (the site is already hosted), so that positions in the search would not fly off, the same question with the template. How to manage risks in this case, which way to choose to gradually upload a separate header, a separate background and other elements through FTTP, or upload everything at once. Please help

Positions can move, where it is not known. It all depends on SEO and behavioral factors. If the design is less user-friendly, then it will have a negative effect.

If the logic of the site does not change, then you should not worry.

The main thing is not to touch the cms and urls / texts, do not close css and js in the robots from search engines
