Well, um .. And what are the "clouds"? IAAS, PAAS, SAAS? Or something in the spirit of digitalocean? They do not have a cloud, they have ordinary nodes.

It all depends on the task :) and clouds or not clouds - this is already a certain way to solve it. In the clouds, a lot is connected with virtualization, or rather, for most clouds, virtualization is the basis, but I would not say that the cloud and virtualization are identical. But still, it is better to build on goals and objectives.
