What year to choose visual studio in c#?

I categorically welcome everyone. I'm a newbie, don't bite too hard.

I can't decide what year to choose visual studio. It is clear that the more modern the environment, the more technologically advanced, more convenient it is, some important features have been added, etc., but it also consumes more resources from the computer.
Purpose: to learn c# (maximum coverage of available information, books / courses, etc.) and then switch to units.
By the time I learn c#, I will buy a normal computer, but for now, 8GB of RAM, i7-3632qm, geforce 710m hardware is available.

Don't mess with your configuration.
You have a great configuration. I can’t even imagine what you decided to change it to if you now have a cool PC.
For Visual Studio, your current PC is more than enough.
Problems may arise when you start installing dozens of extensions and plugins into the studio itself. But I think that this moment is still far, very far away, and this happens when professionalism puts pressure on the skull. In general, do not worry.
I'm sure you're starting to get worried about Unity and 3D requirements. But it's NOT worth worrying about.
Since this year, Adobe has introduced a limit for Photoshopa of 1.5 GB for video memory.
There are no such requirements for VS.
Ka Vasily Bannikov said the main thing is that there should be an SSD.
And you can buy more RAM, increase it to 16GB or more. This is more in case you don’t buy a new PC at all. with 32 GB of RAM and your configuration, you can not upgrade your PC for another 10 years. Is that a video card for games if you want. For Visual Studio, your PC will last for 10 years for sure. More operatives are needed.
You have DDR3 RAM, no big deal. let it be. Now iron is more expensive than 5 years ago, but it should be cheaper, in 5-7 years, then, when it gets cheaper, you can buy a new one. It's certainly not the time to change the PC for the sake of 20% -50% acceleration (with 2x growth, they also DO NOT change.). The PC is changed so that it works 3-5 times faster.
Here you need to clean your PC or reinstall Windows as soon as possible. Old PC = crap Windows, reinstalling the OS can speed it up by 2 times.

2022 should work in theory.
The main thing is not to put unnecessary components.
Well, for good it should be an SSD.
As an alternative, you can try VS Code or Rider (if you disable unnecessary plugins and solution wide analysis, then it doesn’t eat very much)
PS: I don’t recommend installing some ancient IDE like VS 2010, because you won’t be able to learn new features of the language in it, such as async-await, and there may also be problems using third-party libraries, because the old version of the nuget API is no longer supported - you will not be able to install libraries from nuget

A beach laptop from 2010 of a similar configuration quite well pulls 2022 under win11.
Moreover, not projects for study, but combat ones.
It goes without saying that on the 10th generation i9 and 32GB of RAM, all this is noticeably more comfortable)
