What vps hosting to choose for websockets server?
What vps hosting to choose for websockets server?
I have a websockets server on a vps that holds a lot of connections. But it’s impossible to completely utilize the resources of even the cheapest vps, since I don’t rest on RAM or CPU, but on the hoster’s limits on the maximum number of simultaneous connections.
In particular, now I have https://www.ihor.ru/vds for 200 rubles / month and everything is fine, but I can’t install more than 382 connections there, on their tariff for 400 rubles / month with the same software configuration, 764 connections are obtained .
I also tried fastvps.ru/vdsbut there, instead of a restriction, I get a notification that a ddos is coming at me and they ask me to take action under the threat of shutting down the server. But what measures other than moving can be taken if 300 - 400 people online is my normal workload. And at the same time, my memory consumption is less than 512MB and the cpu is also almost not loaded.
I would like to find a budget hosting where there is no such limitation or it is much higher. Unfortunately, this is not written in direct text in the tariffs.

Most likely you rest on the Linux kernel settings for the maximum number of connections.
If you have a VPS on KVM (for example), then you can adjust it yourself.
1. Write to those. support, tell me it's okay, let them tweak it in their AntiDDoS. Or even write to them - give up their AntiDDoS
2. Strange guys in general are alarmists. I have a dozen reverse proxies with the same atypical traffic compared to a classic web server - and the flight is normal.
vscale.io, ruweb.net, adman.com, OVH
https://vscale.io/en/pricing.html You can test this. Only in any case, write why in the TP.
