What version of php is currently up to date?

I could not find much information, but the one that came across to me raises even more questions.
What is the current version? On which you can safely write and not be afraid that on the way you will meet a bug that will spoil the first impression of php. I say the first because it is so. And in conclusion, I will add that I love typed languages.

PHP kagbe is also typed)) but if you like strict typing, then choosing PHP looks strange.
