What units of hours are indicated in the timetables of universities?
Hello. I am soon graduating from my favorite bursa and I want to continue my studies at the university. After reading the curriculum of some, I was confused. I will give an example: "2 course 1 semester: 1. Philosophy - 2L 1P, 2. Computer engineering - 2L 2P, 3. Computer architecture - 2L 2P ..." and so on three or four more subjects. In total, it turns out 14L and 11P per semester. It's easy to guess what "L" and "P" are, but what is the number in front of them? Number of couples? That is, 14 lecture pairs and 11 practical pairs per semester? I do not believe. Gentlemen, students in universities (preferably in Ukraine, although I don’t think it’s only in our universities), tell me, please, to a vocational school student what these units of measurement are, in my sharaga 30 pairs pass in just 2 weeks, but here in a semester 25? It can't be, and Google is silent. Thank you.

Most likely it's a week. Read the headings of the curriculum or check with the person who gave it to you.
