What tools and knowledge are needed for Android augmented reality?
I want to make an application that you point towards a pole, and it draws a square with text next to it (it’s necessary for work). I’m completely in the tank, so I don’t really understand how this is done, but I suppose:
1. skill in working with gps
2. calculating the distance to a point
3. some kind of classifier (somehow you need to understand that this is a pole)
4. some then the thing is for "recognition", i.e. to understand the post, for example, wooden or concrete
5. a thing that draws a square next to the post with text.info on the post.
What else is needed? Explain, if not difficult, I'll study everything. It is precisely the moments with the definition that the object is a pillar (or a house or something else) that bother me a lot. Is that possible? It's just that what I saw in augmented reality is drawing animals in the air and nothing more.
Thanks

All this needs to be explained to you in one answer?!
Briefly: Unity3D + OpenCV lib (under Unity3D from the Assets-market)
In general, a lot of technologies are used here.
And stop playing games...
