What to write for a case ( PostgreSQL)?

Good day.
It so happened that it is difficult to find a job now. And to make this task easier, I want to write some useful features for PostgreSQL.
I recently wrote an article on using COPY , and I also plan to bring this library (which I described there) to mind.
I would like to do something useful for the case.

All that comes to mind is to make software for DBA, which will help you keep track of backups, check plans, display various statistics (for example, the use of indexes), etc.

The whole problem is that I'm not a DBA and I can't figure out what to do myself.

Can you suggest what to do? And it's better to give something like a small TK in general. If I take up your TK, I will write to you for details. (I plan to write software either in the form of a client-series or just a client. I write in C ++ in cross-platform)

PS I still want to write software for administration, although I can write an extension. The main thing is to be useful.
