What to use to set up an IRC server?
What server applications for IRC are currently supported and still alive? What would you recommend putting in?

UnrealIRCd (very common, stable)
or InspIRCd (more out-of-spec built-in features, more development)
NickServ and ChanServ support will come with Anope .
