What to use for Cisco training?
Greetings!
Not for the sake of holivar, but I would like to hear different opinions, and make a decision based on them.
I would like to upgrade my network administration skills, but the question arose: what to use as a training stand? I know that both cisco packet tracer and GNS3 exist . Everyone has their own +/-. Adepts of each of them beat themselves with their heels in the chest for their instrument. There is a lot of water in such holivars. I would like to get adequate opinions on both products, who uses what, so to speak +\-
Thank you in advance.

It depends on what level of knowledge you want to get.
If you don't know anything, and the networks are 0. THEN Packet tracer will be just right.
Keep in mind that Pacet Tracer is not a device emulation, but a simulation.
It makes it possible to familiarize yourself with the cli. Plus some basic networking capabilities.
It also works out of the box and you don't need to download anything. Put and sat down to study.
If you need an advanced level of education, then GNS, iOY and other solutions are your choice.
Because they provide device virtualization. You are running a real device image.
And in principle, everything will look like you have a real Cisco device.
However, for this you need to find images, dig deeper with the setting of the environment itself.
Plus, in older versions, GNS did not support switching. You will not be able to work normally with switches and their functions.
I know that there is both cisco packet tracer and GNS3.
