What to upload to hosting if you use Meteor only for the server part?

I can’t figure out which hosting to use for a mobile application, the bottom line is, I understand two types of server, the first type is for sites, when you have your folder where you place the site (in this folder both the client side and the server side), there they also give a database, and the second type is VDS (if I'm not mistaken), when there is a computer with its own OS, only remote. I use the Meteor framework for the server part, but Meteor creates a client and server folder, do I only throw the server on the hosting or is it all like sites? And what kind of hosting do I need? Or can Meteor only be used with their Galaxy cloud solution?
