What to read the current book / collection of recipes / blog on the layout of letters?

Layout of letters

Google dug up a lot of information, but it's embarrassing that it's for 2014, 2015. It seems to me that it is very outdated, especially considering that in 2016 gmail learned to work with media queries.
I'm looking for an up-to-date source of information! Adaptive, cross-platform.
UPD: I use foundation for emails. But I want to understand this difficult topic even better.
