What to read about game dev?

I was going to try my hand at game dev. It turned out to make a very simple indie game (stupid C lib bindings in Go + abstraction + gvnocode ... a sea of ​​shit code)
Now I decided to go further and make a real-time strategy game with stolen textures from some games (old. Alya Cossacks, civilization 3).
On the fly I ran into shit code and misunderstanding of the correct architecture (before that I dealt only with the web and mainly on the backend e)
