What to learn next to create quality sites?

I know the basics of HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery. Also, recently I started to master joomla, which I learned about while studying the market. And I was confused, because I thought that everyone works through layout, and here is such a simple program.
Help me out, I need you to tell me what to study further is preferable for website development. Joomla or layout languages?
Or did I do everything wrong and ask an incredibly stupid question?)

Joomla or layout languages?

Well, in general, this and that. Not knowing Html/css and making websites is at least strange. And in a good way, abandon Joomla and learn at least php + some kind of framework like laravel / yii. And by the way, it's not clear from the question, do you want front-end or back-end?

I would not advise Joomla - the code leaves much to be desired, a lot of extra files. Bulky and heavy. It is much better to master the framework in PHP

forget about Joomla, only the brain will atrophy. and other CMS. Get a layout designer and learn php, python or RoR and start from the simplest. To make a high-quality one, you need to make at least 2 not high-quality ones and understand why they are not high-quality ones. Experience ....
