What to do with the new PS3?

I bought a new PS3, software version 4.53, I heard about custom firmware, hacking, etc., but I didn’t find anything useful on the Internet on this issue (for version 4.53). Should I bother with this or leave everything as it is and buy wheels for more than two mowers? Based on this, there is another question: is there a Sony Playstation Store where you can buy games, but will this game be a full-fledged one? There is such a thing - 3K3y . Same as XK3y for XBox , only for PS3. Allows you to run games from flash drives and play over the network (while the system thinks that you are playing from a disk).
