What to do if you can't read books? Or how to read technical literature?

If I start reading a book, there are two cases.
1) At the very beginning, things that are explained seem obvious (although the information in the rest of the book was not previously studied for me) -> it gets boring -> I close the book
2) The book is so complicated that it becomes boring because it is too complicated and incomprehensible.
I don't understand what is my mistake. Why do I close the book quickly enough? Perhaps I want to read it quickly, and the mistake is that I am in a hurry. 2400 pages in a day is definitely not to read. How much time do you need to read? How many chapters per day? I understand it's all individual, but your experience is interesting.
But that doesn't mean I can't learn. If I am given a task, then I will look for a solution, google ...
But I don’t know how effective it is.

Reading books is a skill that takes years to acquire.
If you have not read hundreds of books of this type before, then nothing will just happen. Unless you read 10 books, then it will become more familiar.
Books are read to get some theoretical basis.
And practice is gained by practice.
Complete tasks on the topic, and then read books and find out how others would solve this task and why. The practice done will already give you an understanding of what is happening, and the book will go easier.

1. There is nothing wrong with repetition.
2. Take simpler books.

A good book provides a comprehensive understanding, as does the documentation. Personally, I choose something like this. I go to the store and read a few pieces at random. If it's a little difficult, then I'll take it. If the author retells the help, then to hell with such a book. It is also desirable to take a translated book, the brains will think about the subject and not about the translation. Choose according to the format, it is desirable that it could be carried with you. To the toilet, to the kitchen in the subway, anywhere.

Give examples of books that you could not read. Technical literature is rarely read from cover to cover - usually they still choose exactly the right places.
Another problem is that the authors often do not explain why they introduce this or that concept. Actually, there are textbooks, and there are books already for accomplished specialists.
