What to do if a Rails project runs out of space on the server?

Today I encountered such a problem: I go to the site, and instead of its usual form, I get a white page (blank). As it turned out when the application was restarted, there was no space on the server, because the log file weighed unmeasured.
Is this point somehow provided in Rails? In general, how do you solve this problem?
