What to consider when working with CI/CD?

Good day.
Often there are questions on CI / CD, since I had no experience with this, I would like to get acquainted at least at home tests.
Which technologies / services are better to consider, and not to take on each service and immediately compare it.
I will be very grateful!

I advise you to start with Jenkins
Quite easy for yourself, you can deploy it on a nix\win\mac wheelbarrow and drive as much as you like.
Then it is very easy to jump over to any similar CI \ CD program.
