What to come up with a thesis topic related to mobile devices (ios)?

I want to go to work / internship as a mobile developer (for Ios).
In this regard, I would like to choose a diploma related to mobile devices in some way in order to better understand the field of mobile development / applications, and at the same time the diploma was interesting.
The diploma should have a mathematical component with the improvement / change of any mat. algorithms (or their implementation if they are still almost unknown / poorly implemented).
I'm thinking about recognition of gestures (I mean shaking / coups) or sound as a bypass of blocking / access to information.
It would be great if themes would be useful in game development (maybe AI, collision handling?). But you need a mat. component.
There is little experience in working with neural networks and gene. algorithms.
Thanks in advance for interesting suggestions!

System for recording lecture attendance.
Roughly speaking, at the beginning of the lecture, the teacher draws the symbol of the day in the corner of the board, takes a picture of it on his iPhone, and sends it to the server.
Students do the same.
If you don't check in, you missed the lecture.
Here you have both mobile development and recognition (and there is always a lot of mathematics in recognition), and the supervisor with the commission will be wildly happy.
+ then you can refine it, port it to android, launch your startup and get a profit for 6 years of study.

If you pull, make speech recognition using a dictionary (of course, without Google's api).
What are the advantages:
+ There is mathematics
+ The iPhone has good microphones, which is a huge plus when recognizing
+ You can find algorithms in c ++ ( habrahabr.ru/post/150251 )

Recognition of any images by means of a mobile device using a neural network trained in advance (on a full-fledged machine).
There is plenty of math. It is probably better to recognize a static photo than a video.
