There was a choice between firmware 15 2016 (TuchBar, Skylake i7 2.6 GHz, RAM 16 Gb, SSD 256 Gb) and 2017 (TuchBar, Kaby Lake i7 2.8 GHz, RAM 16 Gb, SSD 256 Gb).
Of course, in the Mid 2017 version, a new architecture - the frequency increased by 200 MHz, but in my opinion, a significant increase in performance compared to 2016 should not be expected.
I am engaged in software development in various fields. I use Android Studio, Genymotion, phpStorm, Safari and even Google Chrome 24/7. I think you understand the main load.
1. Mid 2016 or 2017? Why?
2. Does the keyboard stick?
3. Is the fan noise loud under load?
4. Is the case in Space Gray color easily soiled?
5. What about autonomy under load?
6. The touchpad is really huge and very comfortable, but are there any false positives with the palms?
