What to choose - a mobile router or a smartphone?
I need to distribute mobile Internet via wifi to several (2-6) devices. I need an inexpensive device, 4G is optional, it will be used on trips, so branded locked 4G routers from Russian operators will not work for me.
I thought it would be better to buy. A mobile router (for example, TP-Link M5350 ) or pay a little extra and take an inexpensive Android smartphone (for example, Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 )?
The advantage of a smartphone is, after all, also a phone, it can be a spare, if anything. Plus, the router, as I see it (I could be wrong) - is sharpened for the specified task and, perhaps, better holds a large number of wifi connections.
Please advise.

Judging by Android's battery greed, at least you won't need to recharge every few hours.
Router is better.
Internet distribution from android looks like this:
1) we eat the battery at a rate of 1% per minute
2) we warm ourselves
3) the signal from active wifi jams the 3g signal, we switch to hdspa (or even to edge).
4) we slow down
5) in especially pleasant moments we refuse to receive calls, because the network is busy.
I suffered so much, I went to buy a router from MTS ( this one - by the way, specifically my copy switched to a megaphone without a single question). 3g earned, the packets stopped disappearing, the router itself lived on battery for 4 hours of surfing (well, 8-10 hours, if you forget about it turned on).
