What textbooks to choose for studying mathematics (statistics, discreet, linear algebra, matan) for yourself?

I have been scouring the Internet for the 3rd hour and have encountered the problem that the choice of textbooks is TOO large.
In this connection, I decided to ask for help from a knowledgeable and practicing community.
I understand that "quickly-quickly-quickly" study will not work. Not that science.
Therefore, I am looking for textbooks that balance between primitiveness and academic presentation.
I must say right away: I abandoned algebra at school in the 9th grade, because I did not understand what it was for. I can, I can, I practice some very primitive things. But more brains are not enough.
This is exactly the shortcoming I want to eliminate.
So.
Dear Toaster community, please tell me the specific books / textbooks on any mathematics that you liked or that approximately fit the description. Not too dry and complicated, but not too "for idiots", with examples and tasks.
Thank you very much for your attention.

Forget about "statistics, discrete, linear algebra, matan" for a long time. Learn school math.
