What technology stack do you need to know to develop 2D games?
Perhaps the question was not correctly posed. Please correct if something is wrong. I started learning C++, but I would like to immediately determine what I need to know besides C++ for independent development of a 2D game. I would like to know what engines are currently used for 2D games. I would like to know more about the tools for creating 2D games (list of names if possible and Google there)). I ask you to suggest a list of references about all this and about the C ++ language itself. I am currently studying courses on youtube, but they are also not endless. Projects for practice and getting hands on so to speak. And so far I can’t understand at all how they connect the interface with the code and so on. I apologize for such an extensive question, I just want to know right away in which direction I need to move. Thanks for understanding. I don’t want to touch the artistic style yet, I think it’s too early with such a definition.
