What technologies can be used to generate picture frames?

I am making a website for a framing workshop. There is a great desire to tie a service there that allows people to fill in their (arbitrary) image and see it framed in the desired frame.
Similar is implemented at art.com . (click on the "Shop now" button to open the service, then you need to upload an image and the design of the picture is formed in the "Framing" section).
Art.com turns out beautifully, all 4 sides of the frame are different - different lighting, frame fragmentation is not noticeable at all, as if each side is formed from a whole rail, and not from a multiplied piece of texture, as usual.
In the generated image link , there are a large number of parameters responsible for the design of the picture.
Can you please tell me how this can be done? At least in what direction to dig?
