NAS

What "stupid" NAS do you recommend?

choose NAS. Its only task will be to store backups. Wishlist:
- Visibility in the local network.
- A well-known (open) network interface with at least some kind of protection (ftp? WebDav?) (for writing a script for automatically uploading backups from the server, and protection - more from playful pens of local network users than for the purpose of real protection)
- it would be absolutely gorgeous , so that he knows how not to heat excess air during downtime: it will probably turn on once a month for backup.
- I plan to put a 4 TB HDD there
I would be grateful for the ideas. No trendy features that NAS is stuffed with now, maximum Spartan simplicity and energy saving)

@Winsik

once a month will turn on for backup.

according to your requests, a DAS or usb / esata adapter for a regular screw is better for youLD0002906838_2.jpg
