Fight against spam

What spam...?

From several people constantly receive messages:

(21:15:58) As a security precaution, please click the link to verify your ICQ account http://validate.icq.com/icq/validate.html ?uid=*********&sid=*********&lang=en.

I don't risk validation. Who knows?

I looked now in the notorious Google for the request "validate.icq.com". Many say that this is a new feature from ICQ, and that nothing bad will happen. Allegedly, your ICQ account will be read-only without this activation, that is, you will not be able to send messages. I don’t know what is true and what is not, but all this is on icq.com, which means you can trust it.

The address is quite real, I tried to substitute my number, it gives an error page with a page not found. If they tried to crack the password with a reset tool, the letters would come to the mail. Service messages usually come from a specific service number.

yes, but here almost everyone writes from the contact list, I thought again the girls are there ... sms, it’s also interesting why icq accepted my account as unused for a long time, I use it every day =)
