What sources would you recommend for water rendering on DirectX?

Hello dear community! The topic of my course work is the issue of visualization of water. A high quality image that changes in real time must be built. There are several DirectX tutorials on the web on this topic. But I would like to cover this issue very broadly - both from the mathematical side and from the physical side. I know that there are many different approaches to solving such a problem, I want to consider them all and, perhaps, come up with something authorial.
Please do not throw hats at me, saying that I'm too lazy to use some search site. I wanted to turn to knowledgeable people in this area in order to develop a work plan for myself. Thank you!
