What skills does an information security specialist need?
Hello. At the moment I am studying at the university as a specialist in Information Security. Everyone understands that university knowledge will not be enough. Interested in the following question: What skills will be useful when applying for a job? Whether programming languages or something else will be needed.

Information Security Specialist is different. Most likely, knowledge of programming languages is not necessary, but web-oriented ones will be welcome.
Knowledge of laws and regulations will be required, that is, the ability to memorize and quickly recall will come in handy for sure.
Almost certainly, knowledge of network protocols and the OSI model will be required, that is, the ability to quickly and correctly build networks on paper \ in the head \ draw with hand passes in the air.
I am silent about the skill of reading about the current news of the security world.
What direction will the work be? Development of documents, hardware configuration (it is rather a technical work of a different plan on the created documents, administration), analysis of network vulnerabilities?
I think the list of references is more than detailed here.

You decide on the amount of hot data, for sure it will fit in the RAM, and postgresql will easily select this data from there, not a stupid subd.
And consider sharding right away. Set the scaling first.
Hot data and archive in any way should be stored in different tables.
In write-only tables with occasional reads, it probably makes sense not to use indexes at all so that they don't get updated when new records are added.
And then check everything under load, look at the numbers and decide whether you need a radish or not. Postgres, on the other hand, can cache data in the RAM, so you need to specifically test your prototype.
