Disagree with the above.
I've been in website building for about 10 years.
Before the last crisis, I had a blog farm that brought in decent money.
At one time he did narrow niche projects - thematic social networks.
Now he has completely gone into consulting and search promotion.
I think that those sites will be in demand in whose niches there has historically been competition. + where there is a real demand for the product.
Everything that can be monetized will be in demand. Advertising or selling goods is not important.
Here is an example of a working circuit.
Before this crisis, we were very dull with our partners ... well, who knew that there would be a crisis and sanctions.
In general, we launched a portal about confectionery and baking equipment.
We took European manufacturers and collected them on the site + made equipment cards.
And the traffic went great. But the rate fluctuates and suppliers refuse to supply without prepayment ... and the equipment needs to be installed.
In general, we closed this business.
But in general, I repeat ... anyone can be made and pumped. The main thing is to think ahead.

sites of creative people (capable of independent thinking and generating ideas), and not sites of clones of other people's forecasts from toster

What is in demand is always something that can cover the existing needs of people.
The site itself has no value for a long time.

Interesting sites, I think.
Now I regularly watch only the habra-line (giktimes, habr, toaster, freelance, very rarely megamind) and ixbt. ALL! there is nothing more interesting on the Internet, for the soul. The rest of the sites are related to work.
