What should I read before learning C?

Good afternoon. I opened the book by B. Kernighan and D. Ritchie "The C Programming Language" and in a summary came across the following lines:

The book is not recommended for beginners; for its study, it requires knowledge of the basics of programming and computer technology.
I have some programming experience in Python and Pascal. What do I need to read and study in order to start this book?

Nothing, and if you don't know, then programming is primarily about developing programs, not reading manuals.
