What should be the name and responsibilities of the registration, authorization and other class for the user?

A dispute arose with a colleague regarding the need to shove authorization, registration, and other methods into the user class. I say that this is fundamentally wrong.
What is the correct name for such a class and what should be its duties? Maybe examples?
