What should be in Windows/System32/drivers/?
As part of the search for an answer to my other question (I give a link: TAP-Windows Adapter V9 and PPPOE conflict , suddenly there is another answer) I found this interesting: on my laptop in Windows 8.1 in the C: / Windows / System32 / drivers / folder there are several folders , including the well-known etc, and 5 files, 3 of which have *.sys extension.
On the girl’s computer, on which the same Windows 8.1 in the same folder of files is much larger, everything with the extension * .sys
I looked specifically for tap0901.sys, she has it in this folder, and in another one, C: / Windows / System32 /DriverStore/..., I only have the above, and in two copies.
Actually, the essence of the question: is this state of my computer normal? I have seen advice on the net to copy-delete-replace files in C: / Windows / System32 / drivers /, that is, people should store everything there - I don’t have anything.
