What server is needed for python script?

Good afternoon. I immediately apologize for my shortsightedness.
There is one script written in Python. After launch, it hangs in the background and periodically sends GET requests. I want to rent hosting and run this script on the server. As I understand it, you need a virtual server on Linux. But I don't know how to correctly pass the full path of installing and running the script. Please help.
