What's wrong with the sound?

Wrote screencasts using Kazam and RecordMyDesktop
Found that the sound from the microphone is very quiet.
Twisted the settings in alsamixer. You can hear everything on skype.
I turn on the records - the sound is barely.
What to do??

Maybe there are two microphones in the system, one built-in and quiet, and does it work by default?
