Hello.
Actually interested in the opinion of colleagues. What is the best way to organize such a calendar on Bitrix? By clicking on the number, events that will be on that date should be loaded.

The calendar, like the schedule (this is already a consequence), cannot be better organized. They can only be organized worse, really badly, or worse than ever, simply due to the architectural features of the calendar. Well, this is the lyrics of course ...
In fact - it's better than nothing. Literally. If I understand the question correctly, then you want to ask about how to represent calendar dates at the data level - the answer is no way. Generate a calendar (dates) directly in the component template, and events (which, as I understand it, will be IB elements) simply put the date in the date time field. When clicking on a number, apply a filter by date to the IB of events and all cases.

I agree with Alexander Madzhugin . Do not store anything in the template. By clicking on a day, make a request, and there is already its own selection from where you need it with caching by day.
