What's going on with the hard drive?

Periodically and quite often there are freezes when accessing hard.
Here is a picture on the graph - 100% busy, and the read / write speed is zero. Naturally, everything freezes.
CrystalDisk says that everything is fine, the temperature seems to be small. The disk check shows no errors. Bought a year and a half ago.
I changed the interface cable to a known good one, tried other ports on the mother.
What to sin? Is it dying? Still young...

This happens if there are bad sectors on the disk. When a disk read hits a sector that is unreadable, active time soars by 100%, and no data is read or written. This will last for some time until the system "stops" reading it, then everything will work fine, but as soon as it runs into an unreadable sector again, history will repeat itself.
Test the disk for bad sectors, for example with the Victoria program. It is better not from Windows and from a bootable CD-DVD, as the system can be accessed during testing, which distorts the results.
If bad sectors are found, you can fix them. Choose to erase in the program, the data in it is already lost anyway, and the sector after erasing can be restored and continue to work without problems. Often, if data is written to the sector and a failure occurs (power is lost), the sector is not appended and the next time it is read it is no longer readable. If you erase it, you can write again.
If erasing does not help, you can choose to move the sector in the program, then the sector will move to a special area and access to it will be closed.
How to work with the program you will find on the Internet, there are many articles.

@webinar

Open the task manager and see what loads it.

Well, for example, it dumps into the dump something that does not fit into memory or is "outdated".

Windows 10 is very fond of optimizing and stopping it sometimes takes a decent amount of time if large amounts of files are affected. Will thaw.
