What resolution should I set for the mobile app design layout?

So, digging through android manuals, trying to understand dp and resolutions, matching their material, etc. I broke my head, I didn’t understand what parameters the psd document should have. Demonstrate with an example - there is a layout of 1920x1080, this is xxhdpi, as far as I remember. It has 480 dpi. Does this mean that I set such parameters in the psd document? 1920x1080 and 480 dpi?

The layout must have the same logical size as the mobile screen. For example, for an iPhone 6 it is 375x667, for an iPad it is 1024x768 pixels, etc. That's all actually.
Another thing is that in this case you must draw some individual elements (icons, logos, illustrations) in 2x resolution. But this is usually done in a separate file.

Everything wobbles wonderfully. You can not even google, but search on Habré. There is an excellent article there , even with a bunch of links to "additional literature" and various useful things.

To understand what resolution you need, it is better to consult with the developer and the customer. Ask the customer to find out how many devices the application covers (smartphones with a horizontal or horizontal and vertical orientation, tablets also in one or two orientations). After receiving this information, you need to have a close conversation with the developer, who will give you the requirements for layouts, as well as for fonts and icons.
For example: we developed an application for a tourist guide in Montenegro. Only vertical orientation, and two resolutions (we took average audience coverage):
1600x2400 px (400 dpi)
900x1800 px (400 dpi)
and the developer worked independently with these sources
