What Registry K8S pulls Docker images from?

Good afternoon.

Knowledgeable minds, help understand.

As I understand it, K8S can pull images by default pulls all images from the Docker registry, but for example it can also pull images from GCR (images like k8s.gcr.io/echoserver) and if I understand correctly this is a separate storage in the infrastructure of Google

Actually I don't really understand how k8s understands which registry they are knocking on? After all, image="" does not specify the fully qualified domain name. Can I somehow see the list of repositories from which k8s is allowed to take images? Or can I, for example, prohibit pulling images from k8s.gcr.io?

After all, image="" does not specify the fully qualified domain name.

Can I have an example? AFAIK, usually yes is indicated.
