What program to choose for creating 3d models and engineering drawings?
Good afternoon Colleagues and site visitors.
Relatively recently, he moved from the field of technical support to the field of pre-sales engineering (that is, pre-sales preparation of solutions), sales support, and so on. The main product is professional visualization (LFD, Smart Signage, LED).
So this is the crux of the matter. Previously, 90% of orders were for all kinds of video walls and freestanding screens, but now our company focuses on LED and the preparation of such solutions often contains a very interesting pitfall, namely, unlike LCD panels, LEDs are not limited to specified diagonals, your fantasy rests only on the dimensions of the wall, accordingly, it has become more often necessary to prepare, in addition to a simple specification indicating dimensions and other information, also a 3D model or drawing of an LED screen, especially for non-standard screen shapes (concave, curved, cubic, etc.) We are an international company and drawings on request are made to us in Europe (I just don’t have a tool for this, and I didn’t need it before), but it sometimes takes too much time, and sometimes it’s what you need yesterday.I know AUTOCAD but it is too expensive and cumbersome for these purposes (my opinion), respectively, can you recommend any simpler analogues for these purposes?
Thanks

There is a fairly powerful and free FreeCAD. I recently switched to it, I really liked making models.
The only negative is that if the model is very complex, with a bunch of complex surfaces, then you can catch a glitch of Boolean functions. Suitable for your purposes.
Some software makers sell their 3D programs and 2D programs as separate packages, but there are many that bundle them into one, like Compass 3D. It is worth noting here that Compass allows you to work with the drawing without closing and edit the 3D model if necessary, to enjoy some advantages in the design of drawings: create 2D projections, including isometry, performing all kinds of cuts and views of a three-dimensional part. The program opens files of other formats of three-dimensional models, but it is desirable that the three-dimensional model be made in Compass 3D, so that there are no questions when building sections.
If I understand the question correctly, then your domain controller is authorized for site.ru - and dev.site.ru is apparently registered on an external DNS. Of course, the domain controller sees that there is nothing about the dev.site.ru host in its site.ru DNS zone. Comes back - nothing.
Here I once answered a similar question about naming an AD domain in a company.
