What problems can you run into when trying to configure nginx to work with 5000 domains?

What problems can you face when trying to configure nginx to work with 1500 - 5000 subdomains of one domain via hhtps / http
I want to save money on buying a wildcard certificate, but at the same time I need to issue a subdomain accessible via https to each site user.
For domains like u1.site.ru ... u2.site.ru ... u4999.site.ru
I want to use Let's Encrypt to get certificates, but I'm a little worried about the need to create a gigantic config for nginx. At the same time, nginx works as a reverse proxy and its whole task is to decrypt traffic and transfer it to another port of the same server.

@Levhav

With Let's Encrypt, you won't succeed. There you can create 7 certificates per week from one server, and 5 per week for one domain. Those. in 3 months you can get a maximum of ~ 60 certificates for subdomains
