What parts to choose for the robot?

I want to start the assembly to start with the robot arm.
Need information on spare parts and controllers.
- What are the best servos to use?
- What to take for the controller so as not to break the brain in programming and assembly?
- Are there any offices that cut parts or plastic according to drawings to order?
- are there links to ready-made GOOD projects for sale (akromya kickstarter, etc.)?
If possible, all with links to stores where you can buy.
More tricky questions (maybe someone came across):
What is better for design - servo mechanics (motors)? Or piston mechanics (air, oil, liquid)?
What metal to choose for a reinforced robot? (I don't think plastic will work for everything)

@MaxDukov

to start directly from the hand - I do not advise.
start with the sensor cart. get comfortable with it - go to the manipulator.
did not conduct direct research - but Arduina has a very large Russian-speaking community. And the barrier to entry is low. To her, the mass of sensors / actuators that do not require soldering.
Yes. google "custom laser cutting". as an option - 3D printing, for non-flat objects.

- What are the best servos to use?
expensive. absolutely shivering.
I advise you to read roboforum.ru - a lot of competent people hang out there.

"from simple to complex" - have you heard? start with the classics on the servers. You can even order ready-made on Ali.
