What needs to be installed on a fresh ubuntu server so that letters leave the docker container?

Good afternoon. Can't send emails from docker. I registered an account on google.cloud, set up dokku, launched the application, but when I try to send an email, I get [Error: Connection timeout] code: 'ETIMEDOUT', i.e. either some required port is closed, or the packages for sending emails have not been installed/configured correctly. Help, please, to understand.

If you need an smtp server, then exim4 is perfect

sudo apt-get install exim4
sudo dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config
